1440 Multiversity is a premier learning destination in well-being, leadership, and nutrition. The campus sits in the beautiful redwood forest in Northern California. My task was to elevate the brand by incorporating what you would see on campus into the digital experience. We kept everything that was working well for the brand and refreshed the rest.
Role: Creative Manager & Lead Designer | Deliverables: Updated colors, new font, new wood grain pattern, new branded map, and new branded photography

When exploring the campus, you’ll see copper in the building architecture, earthy tones in the environment and interior. Therefore, I added pine green, brown, and rust to the color palette, copper texture for a branding flare, and a handwritten font to mirror the essence of the campus experience and infuse a humanistic element into the design.

The result in combining color, fonts and patterns together.
Everyone who comes to campus needs to find their way around. When participants arrive, they get their own copy of the map, and many don’t explore campus without it. It serves as a guide while there and a memento of their time at 1440. I wanted to breathe life into this central campus piece, and so I directed the map design that was both playful and informative.

The original photography across 1440’s brand lacked diversity and vivid imagery, using mostly muted, cooler tones throughout. My intention was to infuse the warmth and magic into the brand story that everyone feels when they step onto campus.
I worked with an artistic lifestyle photographer to capture the enchanting details of the space, as well as the diverse participants. We added depth to the architecture and lifestyle shots to tell a story through scenes of trails, gardens, buildings, meals, and other beautiful details you might see during a day on campus. I also worked with a talented event photographer to capture real people experiencing our events, emphasizing the emotions, moments, and details of a 1440 visit.
